For anyone interested in birds, animals, fungi and plants - in particular the wildlife, flowers and vegetation in and around Alnwick, Northumberland.
Founded in 1964, the aims of the society are:
- To encourage an interest in the study of the natural history of the local, national and global environments.
- To help with the conservation of local flora and fauna.
- To maintain local natural history records.
Monthly Field trips are held throughout the year.
Membership (£6 per annum) is open to all interested persons. Visitors are always welcome for a fee of £1:50.
A Red Squirrel group is being formed to monitor and protect red squirrels in the Alnwick area. Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to provide their name and email address to Katy Cook of Red Squirrels Northern Enland, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
